Terms of Service

Your order is accepted when we send the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a tin is out of stock, a price was shown in error or we cannot ship to the address given. If we do, we refund you in full.

Prices are shown in Japanese yen. At checkout, the amount may be shown and charged in your local currency at the exchange rate of the day. Any taxes and duties that apply are shown at checkout. We accept credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and payment is taken when you place your order.

Orders ship tracked from Japan with Japan Post, usually within 1 to 3 business days. Shipping within Japan is free. Internationally, Standard (International Air Packet) is free on every order to Asia and Australia; to other destinations it costs ¥1,500 to ¥2,200 and is free on orders of ¥8,000 or more. For faster delivery, Express (EMS) costs ¥1,200 to ¥4,900. The rate for your country is shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates.

Import duties and local taxes, where they apply, are paid by the customer. Please ensure your address is correct before ordering, as we are unable to offer refunds for parcels returned due to an incorrect address. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page.

As matcha is a food product, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind. If a tin arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, write to us within 7 days of delivery and we will send a replacement or a refund. You can cancel for a full refund until your order ships. Our Returns & Refunds policy sets this out in full.

WHISK. matcha is a food product and contains naturally occurring caffeine. Keep the tin sealed, cool and away from light, and enjoy it before the best-before date. Product photos show the tins as closely as we can; colours vary a little from screen to screen and from lot to lot.

Customer accounts are provided through Shopify. Please keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for orders placed through your account.

The WHISK. name and logo, our photography and our writing belong to Mastry G.K. Please ask before using them.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Yokohama District Court has jurisdiction in the first instance. This does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order.
